Năm học 2015-2016 
I/ Tính từ và trạng từ: 
A- Tính từ: 
CHỨC NĂNG NGỮ PHÁP CỦA TÍNH TỪ 
Xét về chức năng ngữ pháp, tính từ có 2 chức năng chính: 
 là đứng trước danh từ làm bổ ngữ cho danh từ (attributive adjectives): a beatiful house 
 và đứng sau động từ liên hệ làm vị ngữ (predicative adjectives) ví dụ: she is beautiful. 
1. Tính từ đứng trước và bổ nghĩa cho danh từ: (Adjectives as modifiers for nouns (attributive 
adjectives)): 
A beautiful house 
2. Adjectives stand behind linking verbs (predicative adjectives) 
She is beautiful. 
Đa phần tính từ có thể vừa đứng trước danh từ và làm bổ ngữ cho danh từ, vừa có thể đứng sau động 
từ liên hệ . Ví dụ: 
 She is nice. √ 
 She is a nice woman √ 
+ Một số động liên hệ (Liking verbs) đã học trong chương trình: 
 Feel, taste, sound, smell, become, seem, 
Phần này học sinh có thể hiểu theo cách khác là: “Sau các liking verbs thì phải sử dụng tính từ” 
Ví dụ: 
 Students may become tired and dizzy after playing games. 
B- Trạng từ: 
 Trạng từ là từ dùng để bổ nghĩa cho động từ, tính từ, một trạng từ khác hay cho cả câu. Vị 
trí: Trạng từ thường đứng trước từ hay mệnh đề mà nó cần bổ nghĩa. Nhưng cũng tùy trường hợp 
câu nói mà người ta có thể đặt nó đứng sau hay cuối câu. 
B.1. Phân loại trạng từ 
Trạng từ có thể được phân loại theo nghĩa hoặc theo vị trí của chúng trong câu. Tuỳ theo ý nghĩa 
chúng diễn tả, trạng từ có thể được phân loại thành.( Trong chương trình Tiếng Anh 7 học kỳ 2 chỉ 
nhấn mạnh loại trạng từ thể cách, và mối liên hệ của trạng từ này và tính từ.) 
B.2. Trạng từ chỉ thể cách (manner)

II/ Adjective + Preposition Combinations Followed by Gerunds ( Sau cụm tính 
từ và giới từ phải sử dụng danh động từ (V-ing))

 - Competiontion (cuộc tranh tài/ thi đấu ( a sports competition) 
 - Contest (cuộc thi (a music/ beauty/ knowledge contest)) 
 - Wish + to V hoặc wish + (that) S + will/ can V) 
 - The number of + danh từ số nhiều + động từ số ít 
 Ex: The number of participants increases every week. 
 - Volunteer to V (tình nguyện) 
 - Instead of taking motorbike trip( thay vì đi xe mô tô) 
 - People of all age and abilities: ( bất cứ ai ở độ tuổi và khả năng nào) 
 - Summer is on its way (Mùa hè đang đến) 
 - Improve water safety awareness: cải thiện ý thức về an toàn khi vui chơi dưới nước) 
 - The aim of the program is to teach (Mục đích của chương trình là dạy cho) 
 - Advice (lời khuyên_ danh từ không điếm được (không có –s) 
 - Be aware of (ý thức được) 
 - Most of/ some of the+ danh từ/ them (us) 
 - Little/ a little (of) + danh từ không đếm được 
 - Few/ a few (of) + danh từ số nhiều 
 - 
IV/ Modal verbs: 
 - Can (có thể, chỉ khả năng- trong hiện tại hoặc tương lai) 
 - Could (có thể, chỉ khả năng- trong quá khứ) 
 - Must (chỉ sự bắt buộc, hay luật pháp yêu cầu 
 - Should/ ought to (khuyên bảo) 
 - Will/ shall (đoán, hứa, câu điều kiện_ Thì tương lai đơn)
