 Relative clauses
 • The girl is very friendly. She lives next door.
 The girl who lives next door is very friendly
 relative clause
 Who  people. We use who instead of he/she/they
 • The books are novels. They are on the top of the shelf.
 The books which are on the top of the shelf are novels.
 Which  things. We use which instead of it/they
  We can use that in these two examples. When who, which, that are subjects of the 
 verbs in the relative clauses, we cannot leave them out.
 • The man is an engineer. His son is my classmate.
 The man whose son is my classmate is an engineer
 Whose  most for people. We use whose instead of her/his/their
 • The hotel wasn’t very clean. We stayed there.
 The hotel where we stayed wasn’t very clean.
 Where  place. 
 Adverb clauses of concession
 • She works hard although she doesn’t enjoy her job
 Although she doesn’t enjoy her job, she works hard.
